Howard Talenfeld Selected Once Again to Florida Trend 500

Kelley Kronenberg and Justice for Kids are pleased to announce that Partner Howard Talenfeld has been selected by the executive editorial team of Florida Trend magazine for the annual Florida 500 list. This special publication, now in its fourth edition, highlights the 500 most influential executives in different economic sectors throughout the state. He has received this highly sought-after distinction every year since the list was first launched in 2018.

As a nationwide advocate for children, and now a Partner and Business Unit Leader with Kelley Kronenberg’s Justice for Kids Division, Talenfeld has spent three decades representing and protecting thousands of children in cases of foster care abuse, child sexual abuse, child rape, and other harm, in child welfare and disability settings. His creative legal approaches have achieved extraordinary results in both protecting children and earning significant damage awards – often in excess of Florida’s sovereign immunity limits – as well as bringing to justice those responsible for catastrophic harm to children.

Talenfeld is also the founder and Board President for Florida’s Children First (FCF), a statewide advocacy organization protecting the rights of foster children and other at-risk youth. This organization has obtained legislation and systemic change that has helped tens of thousands of children through the almost 20 years Talenfeld has served as Board President.

Among his many achievements, Talenfeld has also been recognized by The Florida Bar Foundation as the recipient of the 2018 Medal of Honor Award for a Lawyer. Additionally, he has been recognized for his efforts with The Florida Bar’s President’s Award of Merit and the Florida Bar President’s Pro Bono Service Award for the 17th Judicial Circuit. He has also received Legal Aid’s Russell Carlisle Award for child advocacy law. He is currently serving his third term as Chair of The Florida Bar Legal Needs of Children Committee.
