Join Florida’s Children First as Broward Awards Honors Advocates for At-Risk, Foster Kids
On February 26, Fort Lauderdale, Broward County and Miami attorneys, foster abuse lawyers, child care guardians and those who advocate for Florida’s abused, neglected and injured child will attend the 2015 Broward Child Advocacy Awards & Reception. The annual event from Florida’s Children First, brings together people who care about children’s rights.
Registration has opened for the Broward Child Advocacy Awards & Reception.This year, the event will honor distinguished child advocates in the area and raise awareness for key child protection issues.
The event will be held on Thursday February 26, 2015, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at a NEW LOCATION: The Riverside Hotel (620 East Las Olas Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale 33301).

The event will honor local outstanding children’s advocates and youth honorees by celebrating the successes of the area’s foster children and the hard work of South Florida most staunch child advocates.
The 2015 Florida’s Children First Broward Board of Directors includes David Bazerman, Walter “Skip” Campbell, Jesse H. Diner, Joel Fass, Melissa Lader Barnhardt, Alan S. Levine, Todd R. McPharlin, Angelica Palank-Sharlet, Howard Talenfeld and Julie Talenfeld.
The suggested contribution is $100 with all proceeds benefiting Florida’s Children First. Attire is business casual. The Awards and Reception will offer plenty of great food, soft drinks and inspiring stories.
Also on February 26, Florida’s Children First will host a FREE TRAINING on “Safe, Stable and Nurturing Relationships.” More details to follow.
